Usually, the price release for the following year from Disney is an exciting time. With holidays cancelled in 2020 and 2021 looking more unlikely as the days go on, 2022 was an exciting time to think about staying at the Walt Disney World Resort. That is until we saw the new pricing structure and benefits.

Holidays for 2022 can be booked directly with Disney at Disneyholidays.co.uk but if you want a quick overview of what to expect:

  • More expensive than ever (up by over £2,000 for 14 nights in some instances)
  • No Dining Plan (you can’t even pay extra to add it on)
  • No FastPass
  • No $200 gift card
  • Park Hopping limited to post 2 pm
  • Park booking per day remains in place
  • No Magical Express
  • No free MagicBands

So what exactly are you getting for the additional money Disney is asking for?

Our advice, don’t book with Disney just yet. We’ve got no doubt that some of these benefits will return when Disney has confidence in resuming Walt Disney World Resort capacity to some kind of normality.

If you’re desperate to return and book Orlando then right now we’d recommend booking to stay at Universal Orlando, a Villa or an apartment complex.

Disney simply isn’t worth the investment at this time.
