Last night saw the temporary change from Spaceship Earth to the Death Star and with that came a whole host of new Star Wars announcements for Walt Disney World.
You can read all of the announcements below but first watch the grand transformation captured by the great guys over at ITM:
The Advanced Weapon Research Troopers will soon be joining the ranks at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The AWR Troopers will be walking around the park as well as being added to the Star Wars: A Galaxy, Far, Far Away show.
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular
Although not expected to return until the end of the year, Disney announced that both Jungle Bell, Jingle BAM and Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular will be playing nightly together every night from December 16th until December 31st.
Star Wars Launch Bay
Beginning right now you can check out props from Star Wars Rogue One at Disney’s Hollywood Studios that include a Death Star model, a U-Wing gunship, Shoretrooper Blaster and Krennic’s Imperial Shuttle!
A Random Return to Star Tours
Disney announced that beginning soon the randomised outcomes of Star Tours would begin again rather than showing everyone the scene from Jakku. Disney also emphasised that scenes from Star Wars Episode VIII would also be joining the attraction in 2017.
7 Hour Star Wars Tour!
Perhaps the most exciting announcement to come from last night was that Disney are going to be offering a premium Star Wars Guides Tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios that would stretch to seven hours in length!
This tour will include being taken around all of the Star Wars attractions at the park alongside a themed quick-service restaurant visit and entrance to the Star Wars: A Galactic Dessert Party alongside priority viewing for the fireworks.
Although I feel Disney put on quite the show considering we saw no announcement on the progress of Star Wars Land, the announcements were all pretty cool!
