Disney Working on a Skyway Gondola

We begin this weeks podcast by discussing the rumours that Disney are working on a brand new Skyway Gondola system to take guests to and from Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Rumours are that both Caribbean Beach and Pop Century would be stops on this new system too.

They are of course, just rumours and chat on this story leads us onto the factual next story and the real answer perhaps to these Skyway rumours.

Disney Expanding Caribbean Beach & Coronado Springs

Dan and I chat through exciting news that both resorts are to receive significant expansions. Coronado is to get 500 new rooms and a new restaurant and Caribbean Beach is getting a new dining and shopping area.

Guardians of the Galaxy Opening Date & Summer of Heroes

We move on to talk through the opening date for the new Mission Breakout attraction at Disney’s California Adventure alongside details on Summer of Heroes at the park.

BB-8 Character Meet Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

If meeting Groot at Disney’s California Adventure wasn’t exciting enough, Disney announced this week that a BB-8 meet and greet would be coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios beginning in April.

Theme Park Ticket Increases

On a less joyful subject, Disneyland, Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando all increased ticket prices this week. Dan and I discuss the impact and our thoughts on the ever increasing park ticket costs.

Temporary Beauty and the Beast Restaurant Coming to Disneyland

Owing in part to the success of the Be Our Guest restaurant at the Magic Kingdom and the upcoming live action release of Beauty and the Beast, Disney announced a temporary overlay to Village Haus Restaurant in Disneyland.

We chat through what we would like to see in the restaurant and the possibilities of this move being permanent. Oh and the Grey Stuff, its more average than delicious. You can read more on this story here.
