Disneyland yesterday announced that a brand new hotel is on the way to the resort!
The new 700 room hotel is set to create a “dynamic dining, entertainment and hotel experience” for resort visitors and local residents with landscaping and water elements that aim for a resort oasis that showcases nature.
The Disneyland Monorail is also set to receive a dedicated platform inside this new hotel that will take guests directly into the Disneyland park.
There is a slight issue though, this hotel looks to be on the ground on the West side of Downtown Disney where Rainforest Cafe, Earl of Sandwich, ESPN Zone and AMC movie theater currently sit.
While we have no official confirmation of these closures, it does look possible, especially when you consider the new dining options coming to the hotel area.
Also… is it just us or does this hotel look very bland?
Of course all we have to go on is concept art at this stage but after nearly 2 decades in between hotel opening dates, they could have done something a bit more… Disney.
Either way, construction is set to start in the summer of 2018 with a 2021 opening date.
What are your thoughts on this new location?
