As promised in the podcast from last week, here are the full menus for the outdoor kitchens that are going to be located within World Showcase for the 2016 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival.

Under each outdoor kitchen I have highlighted some of the things we said in the podcast regarding each of the menus.

Isla Fresca – NEW to 2016

Although new to the festival this year, already I have a feeling that this menu is going to be a hit among festival goers. Our picks from the menu to try would be the chicken, beef and the tropical juice with rum!

Food

  • Jerk-spice grouper or chicken with mango salsa, chayote and green papaya slaw with lime-cilantro vinaigrette
  • Jamaican-braised beef with pigeon pea rice and micro cilantro
  • Tres leches with guava purée

Cider House – NEW to 2016

We mentioned the interesting combination choice of Branston dressing with the corned beef and felt that it sounded a bit odd however we would give it a go. A highlight from us was the cheese biscuit with smoked salmon tartare with the lemon scone for dessert!

  • Pear cider-brined shredded corned beef with braised cabbage and pears and Branston dressing

Urban Farm Eats

We called out on the seared pork tenderloin as something that is well worth a try in the podcast and in addition to this the peach sparkling wine also sounds like it would be well worth a go!

Pineapple Promenade

While neither of us here at Theme Park Trader are fans of pineapple, we did mention that the spicy hot dog would be on our list and that fans of the dole whip would fall in love with the pineapple soft serve!

Speaking from experience, everything on the menu tends to be fantastic here but in the podcast we called out on the sangria and how it sounded like an interesting combination and one that was well worth a go!

Bauernmarkt: Farmer’s Market

We mentioned that the menu here didn’t really blow us away and spoke about how previous bratwurst served up at this market tended to be a bit of a disappointment, though we haven’t tried this years one with curry ketchup. Still, the beers at this market are worth visiting the kitchen for alone!

This is a real highlight of the festival for us and pretty much everything on the menu here is fantastic. Seriously, try everything on this list and you will not be disappointed!

We covered this one off in quite a lot of detail and mentioned both the beef bun and the vegetable spring roll as items on the menu that are both well worth trying. We also mentioned to be cautious when purchasing well known foreign beers like Tsingtao beer as Disney tend to charge a lot for these when you can buy them at any decent supermarket!
