From June 10 through August 7 SeaWorld are putting on events across both SeaWorld and Aquatica to help celebrate the launch of Orlando’s fastest, longest and tallest rollercoaster, Mako.

Firstly comes the introduction of a new shark pool in the Relaxation Station located near Wild Arctic. In this area guests will be able to learn and interact with whitespotted bamboo sharks,  brown banded bamboo sharks and epaulette sharks.

SeaWorld will also be putting on a Mako Challenge text message scavenger hunt, those who complete the challenge will get $1 donated to the SeaWorld Busch Gardens Conservation Fund on their behalf. SeaWorld are also putting on additional animal experiences with scheduled feedings and more animal ambassadors on hand to answer questions.

Additional food will also be thrown in over this period including:

  • Honey vanilla mako shark cookie
  • SeaWorld exclusive Coca-Cola Freestyle mix
  • Mako Blast – an alcoholic beverage only available at Shark’s Underwater Grill
  • Mako Red Ale

After the Sun has Gone Down

Guests can enjoy a nightly Block Party on SeaWorld’s Waterfront where Mako, Kraken and Manta will also be available to ride in the dark. On June 18 Shamu’s Celebration: Light up the Night will return alongside a firework ending.

Aquatica Events

Island Nights logo at Aquatica

Island Nights will be running from July 8 to August 6 where guests can enjoy a Island Nights soundtrack, longer park hours and a happy hour from 5-7pm. Aquatica will also be introducing an evening menu at Waterstone Grill and a party will kick off the events with DJs and dancers on Fridays and Saturdays during this time.
