Although it was expected that Ghost Train would open this month, it would seem that the journey has been delayed and that now the attraction has an opening date of May 6th 2016.
There has been a lot of hype around this attraction but Thorpe Park seem to be using all the right kind of tech that should really push this attraction to the front and centre of theme park attractions in the UK.
The attraction is going to utilise the use of virtual reality headsets and selecting HTCVive as the headset to use here was a very smart move by Thorpe Park, they are arguably the virtual reality headsets out there.
The story for the attraction also sounds great:
At the heart of the island you discover a disused warehouse. As you enter a seemingly innocent Victorian train carriage, it soon becomes clear as sights and sounds fill your senses, that you will come face-to-face with what lies at the end of the line.
Sometimes attractions here in the UK have a habit of hyping too much but in this instance I am excited to see what Thorpe Park do with Ghost Train, the technology behind this really excites me.
We are hoping to get an invite over to the attraction closer to launch and will of course be sure to report back on our thoughts as and when we have the chance to ride the attraction.
