Disney After Hours
Disney After Hours is an additional ticket for guests to buy for $150 that will grant access to The Magic Kingdom for three hours after the park closes. This will allow guests access to certain attractions and meet & greets.
Heard of something like this before? It sounds very much like a paid Extra Magic Hours to me!
At this time these tickets are only available for select dates during April and May, sounds like this is more of a trial at this stage.

- April 21
- April 28
- May 5
- May 8
- May 12
- May 19
I actually don’t have a problem with this so long as Extra Magic Hours continues at the park for free for guests staying at the resort. Looking at the dates, most of them seem to be Thursdays which isn’t a day in which the Magic Kingdom is open late for Extra Magic Hours. Picking a random date close to one of the dates above, it would seem Disney is still proceeding with EHM:
I also think this very much depends on just how many tickets are going to be released to guests. If it is just a few thousand, then this option sounds like a very good idea in order to enjoy the park with almost no lines.
If it is more like the numbers allowed into the park for an event like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party then I am less keen as queues will still be lengthy (although will be better than during the day).
I am really on the fence with this one, $150 seems like a lot of money to have to pay to enjoy 3 hours in the park without confirmation of how long the lines will actually be. That being said, if I knew everything would be empty I would strongly consider paying it.
