With Fast & Furious the next attraction arriving at the Universal Orlando Resort it is safe to say that the team have started to build up the excitement ahead of the Spring opening.

To kick things off we have a new TV spot that showcases Cabana Bay and mentions the new attraction:

A few things I noticed during the short 1 minute TV spot:

  • One would presume that the family are all wearing shades but with most of Universal’s attractions requiring 3D glasses of some sorts perhaps this is part of a new Universal package, where glasses are provided to save time in cast members handing then out at each attraction.
  • The family not only clearly speed on the journey to Universal Orlando (great for the whole family right?) they also knock people out of the way, run through the park and knock someone’s popcorn onto the floor… not cool.

In case you didn’t realise, that analysis was all a joke (mostly).

Onto the good stuff, Universal has released some brand new concept art that seems to showcase some of the activities that guests will experience during the pre-show:

It is good to keep guests entertained while they wait, I just hope it isn’t too cheesy (Fallon handles this incredibly well).

If you hadn’t have guessed already, I am not a huge fan of the Fast & Furious franchise and with Universal going down the 3D route again I just hope they can deliver an attraction that feels different. Let’s not forget the promises that were made with Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon when in reality the ride mechanics really weren’t that different to Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem.

Are you looking forward to Fast & Furious Supercharged?
