The Three Caballeros as animatronic figures have been around for a long time and travelled across the world on more than one occasion. Debuting in 1971 when the Magic Kingdom opened they remained at the Mickey Mouse Revue attraction until it closed in 1980. They were then shipped to the Mickey Mouse Revue attraction in Japan until the attraction closed in 2009.

Now Walt Disney World welcomes the trio back and they are in their rightful places on the Gran Fiesta Tour at Epcot.

Three Caballeros animatronics at Epcot

The D23 site had this to say about the classic animatronics:

“The happy amigos hold a special place in Walt Disney World history, going back to April 1969, when government and media officials gathered in Ocoee for a first glimpse at the long-awaited “Project Florida.”

It is great to see these classic animatronics back home, make sure you check them out the next time you are in Epcot!
