Disney have recently brought on Chef Michael Gonsalves to the Artist Point restaurant at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and already he has started to have a play with America’s Pacific Northwest theme of the restaurant.

Michael stated in a recent Disney Parks blog post:

“We are looking to convey the wonders of nature through food”.

Here are some of the items featuring on the new menu:

  • Dungeness crab cakes
  • Steamed mussels
  • Cedar plank salmon and wild-caught prawns
  • Halibut
  • Dashi-braised short rib starter served with kombu turnip pickles, daikon and wild greens
  • Charred field asparagus with Berkshire prosciutto, mustard vinaigrette and foraged greens
  • Cheese and house-made charcuterie boards
  • Disney will also be serving produce from the Land at Epcot (one of my favourite parts of Epcot). This will include The Land greens salad featuring Masumoto Peaches and seed granola

Some of the most popular dishes from the existing menu remain. These include:

  • Smokey portobello bisque with crispy shiitakes
  • Buffalo steak strip steak

A reminder of the dining plans that are accepted at Artist Point:

  • Disney Dining Plan (two 2015 entitlements required)
  • Disney Deluxe Dining Plan (two 2015 entitlements required)
