Those that have visited Disney Springs since work began on the transformation of Downtown Disney will know that catching a bus from a Walt Disney World hotel has been  a bit of a nightmare up until this point. It wasn’t like it has been impossible, it was just a lot more of a pain than it was previously, that all changes now though.

Disney have now opened up dedicated bus lanes at Disney Springs and resort guests will now be dropped off at a more central location, The Gateway.

Disney Springs Gateway Bus stops

Dedicated bus lanes will make travelling to and from Disney Springs easier for both Walt Disney World resort guests and guests driving in to park.

This doesn’t mean that the former Marketplace bus stop will close, it will now be used for partner hotels such as Hotel Plaza Boulevard, Shades of Green and Good Neighbor Hotels.

While I actually liked the bus stop at the Marketplace (it remains my favourite part of Disney Springs), it is great to see Disney finally doing something about the bus issue at the Springs.

What do you think of the new bus loop at The Gateway?
