Yesterday LEGOLAND Florida made some pretty exciting announcements on new experiences that are coming including new attractions, hotels and more!
Lego Ninjago World
This new land, based on the Lego Ninjago television series will invite guests to step inside the martial arts kingdom where Lego Ninjago The Ride will be opening. We covered Lego Ninjago the Ride in great length on our post when it was first announced here, but essentially it is a first of its kind attraction that will combine 3D animation, 4D effects and will use similar technology first pioneered in hardware like Kinect for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Up to four people will sit per vehicle and will blast animated fireballs, ice, lighting and shockwaves using their hands to team up to defeat a villain.
Although the attraction is opening first at Legoland California, Billund and Malaysia, Lego Ninjago World is due to open its doors in 2017 in Florida.
The land will also feature other yet to be announced interactive experiences.
Legoland Beach Retreat
Just adjacent to the park at Lake Dexter, Legoland are working on a brand new resort that will be themed to a Lego beach resort and will feature 166 separate accommodations that will be able to sleep up to five people.
Take a look at the themed Lego beach huts below, the attention to the detail (at least from looking at the concept art) looks great.
At the new resort will include a swimming pool, sandy area for kids to play, a buffet restaurant and free transportation to and from the Legoland theme park.
The new hotel is due to open in the middle of 2017.
Legoland Night Lights
This new event will begin in June of this year and will include:
- Extended park hours
- New meet and greets with Lego characters
- Opportunities to build alongside master Lego model builders
Also included in Legoland Night Lights is a brand new Ninjago fireworks display that will be timed in to music.
This party will take place every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from June 18 to July 31 2016.
Lego Nexo Knights 4D: The Book of Creativity
This brand new 4D movie will put five young knights against the evil Jestro and his sidekick, the Book of Monsters. Guests will battle for control of the book of magic in this new 4D experience that is based on the recently launched television show (Lego sets also available).
The attraction will last roughly 12 1/2 minutes and will be opening May 26 2016.
Build-A-Boat at Creative Cove
A new attraction is arriving at Legoland Water Park in the form of Build-A-Boat. This will allow kids to create and race Lego watercraft through a setting inspired by the Lego City Coast Guard sets.
So there you go, a whole host of new announcements to help celebrate Legoland Florida turning five, what in the list excites you the most?
