Disney has finally announced the reasoning behind some of the old Streets of America area not turning into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Disney are working on a brand new area, Grand Avenue that is themed to present day Downtown Los Angeles.
Grand Avenue will include facades of trendy shops, lofts, restaurants, and other locations.
The area is going to be more than simple facades, a brand new pub will open alongside the area, BaseLine Tap House.
The new location will feature California craft ales, lagers and various ciders. Wines and speciality cocktails will also be on the menu alongside snacks including Bavarian pretzels, spiced almonds and a Californian cheese board.
After the closure of the High Octane Bar at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, this is exactly what the park needed.
The location, the food and the beverages all sound great and the new area will be open well ahead of Star Wars and Toy Story, later this fall.
