As of this week, Disney are introducing a new D-Zone to Epcot, the first to arrive in the park. The new D-Zone will be placed in the Innoventions West corridor near Character Spot within Future World. I have actually walked through this corridor many times to just chill out and get a blast of the air con but struggled to find somewhere to sit.
Disney will not only be installing new seating but will also be putting in electronic device charging stations as well as a couple of food and drink stations where guests can get a light refreshment before heading back out into the parks.
The D-Zone
D-Zones were first introduced at the Magic Kingdom Park a couple of years ago with the seating area around the Tangled restrooms and the area around Storybook Circus (near the big top). They have been a huge success in that they haven’t got in the way of guests just wanting to get on with the ‘Disney experience’ but have allowed for guests to just take a moment to relax. In fact, the Tangled restrooms are by far the best designed in all of Walt Disney World (in my opinion).
So I know for a fact I will be using this new relaxation area when I am back in Epcot later this year, will you be utilising this new space?
