While Circle of Life isn’t usually on my list of attractions to visit when I am at Epcot (I don’t think I have been on it for nearly 10 years) it is a fantastic attraction to visit to get out of the rain or heat of Florida.
Without much warning on Sunday (7th) the attraction closed with no announcement from Disney.
Disney has this to say on the matter when browsing Walt Disney World’s website and looking at the attraction:
As part of our continuing efforts to exceed the expectations of our Guests, The Circle of Life is currently closed for enhancements. Please check back here for the latest updates and information about when it will reopen.
Hopefully this means that Disney are working on changing the movie (it has been there since 1995) however it would appear that the attraction will be reopening on April 3rd which asks the question, what are Disney doing in 2 months?
Personally I think this is more to do with the work going on in The Land on Soarin at the moment than anything else but we will see if Disney makes any significant changes to the attraction when it opens again in April!
I have my fingers crossed that this is the beginning of the end for this movie, its permanent closure has been a long time coming in my opinion.
