That’s right people, Disney have finally confirmed that Rivers of Light at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be opening on Earth Day, that’s 22nd April!
I am super excited to see this new nighttime show at the park and Disney have shown off a short behind the scenes video that details just some of what we can expect to see:
Rivers of Light Story
The show will depict an ancient later festival guided by two storytellers who call forth four animal spirit guides:
- Asian Tiger
- Tropical Turtle
- African Elephant
- Great Horned Owl
These animals will pop up throughout the show to help guide guests through their journey through the Rivers of Light.
Rivers of Light Effects
Rivers of Light is set to include water screens, laser projections and lighting effects that will all come together to create “something special”.
It would seem that despite our doubts, that Disney intend on beginning Rivers of Light with 3 shows a night and as reported last week, will partner this with dining packages.
Expect more news to come out of the live chat that Disney is having on Rivers of Light on March 8th, I will be sure to keep everyone updated.
I am really looking forward to this show and can’t wait to stay later at Animal Kingdom to watch Rivers of Light and ride Kilimanjaro Safari’s at night!
