Disney has today announced that they are allowing guests faster transfers between theme parks for a price, something I didn’t think Disney would ever do.

Disney Bus

Express Bus Transportation comes at a cost of $15 per person, per day and will pick guests up directly from the parks. You can add the service on when purchasing Park Hopper tickets with an option of adding multiple days for a slightly cheaper price of $24 per person.

How is this faster I hear you ask? Disney will be taking guests through some of the more backstage areas that will get them to their final destination faster than taking an average Disney Bus. I imagine there will be no queue for this service at peak times too. Service starts from 10am until park closing.

While I tend to understand the reasoning behind Disney making some of the decisions that it does, this one for me is pure greed. It puts a larger gap between guests with a lot of money to spend (who clearly don’t want to queue with everyone else), and guests who have struggled to save for their dream vacation.

I could perhaps see the value in this if you are running late for a reservation but by the time you have realised this it is likely all too late to queue and purchase Express.

We would love to hear your thoughts in the comment below.
