It’s hard to believe that Galaxy’s Edge has almost been open for two years, with the bulk of that time either being closed in Disneyland or under limited capacity in Walt Disney World.

Despite not being able to ride Rise of the Resistance yet, I have been one of the lucky ones in being able to visit the land over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and it was a rare occasion where I was almost brought to tears of joy.

As a lifelong Star Wars fan, Galaxy’s Edge truly brings the world of Star Wars to life and I honestly can’t wait to get back to the land to further analyse all the detail the Disney Imagineers put into Batuu.

The good news is that there’s a new book on the way and for a change, it will be available for UK fans.

The Art of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be released on April 29th and is set to provide an inside look at the magic behind the land at both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disneyland.

The book will feature hundreds of full-colour concept art, sketches, blueprints and photographs as well as revealing the creative process that Walt Disney’s Imagineering team went through to create the land.

Written by Amy Ratcliffe with a foreword by Scott Trowbridge (Portfolio Creative Executive for Walt Disney Imagineering), the book retails at £35. The Art of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge can be pre-ordered from Amazon, excuse me while I go and pre-order mine now!
