With so many incredible franchises (Ghostbusters, Stranger Things and Killer Klowns to name a few) announced already this year, there were those of us thinking that HHN couldn’t get any better in Orlando this year.
Well, the team at Universal have just announced all the scare zones we can expect to see when the event begins on September 6th and they sound incredible! Let’s take a deeper look at what to expect.
Zombieland Double Tap
The rumoured inclusion of Zombieland at this year’s event has finally been confirmed! Guests will find themselves in the middle of the United States of Zombieland with the infection spreading and zombies looking for blood wandering the streets. Universal will be borrowing from the original Zombieland movie and its sequel!
I am a huge fan of the original movie so can’t wait to see what Universal has in store for us here.
Anarch-cade
Playing massively on the years 80s theme, this scare zone is inspired by the 80s arcades many people grew up with. The big twist here, “Game Over” means a permanent end and a crazy gang of neon slashers are out to get guests! This one sounds like it could be super fun!
Although born in the 90s, I absolutely love the 80s culture (and yes this was true before Stranger Things). I already have a feeling this could be my favourite scare zone of the year.
Rob Zombie HellBilly Deluxe
I must confess something; I am not the greatest fan of Rob Zombie, so the thought of an entire scare zone dedicated to his music doesn’t have a big draw to me. With brutal maniacs and otherworldly beings confirmed for this zone, it could be enough to change my mind!
Vanity Ball
The concept of this scare zone is fantastic. You’re on the streets of Hollywood where flesh has become the canvas for blade-wielding artists turning people into living works of art. The commentary on society here is going to be taken to the extreme and I can’t wait to see how this plays out!
Vikings Undead
The clue is in the name here as undead Vikings have risen and are laying siege to Central Park. Vikings, the undead and plenty of gore? What’s not to like?
If all the scare zones being announced wasn’t enough, Universal also confirmed that Academy of Villains will be making a return with a brand new show!
This years event really is turning out to be one of the best yet, what are you most looking forward to experiencing when horror returns on September 6th?
