Minnie Mouse has finally been given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, nearly 40 years after Mickey Mouse was given one on November 13th 1978.
Katy Perry was on hand alongside CEO Bob Iger to celebrate the occasion:
Despite her popularity, Minnie Mouse isn’t even the second Disney character given a star, the following other characters have already got stars on the walk of fame:
- Snow White – June 28th 1987
- Kermit the Frog – November 14th 2002
- Donald Duck – August 9th 2004
- Winnie the Pooh – April 11th 2006
- The Muppets – March 20th 2012
- Tinker Bell – September 21st 2012
It is great to see Minnie finally being recognised, even if it is a bit late!
