Thos of you who have been before or have great knowledge of Epcot will have heard of the Garden Grill restaurant. Essentially it is Epcot’s character dining venue that has long been a favourite of many guests of the parks. At dinner guests can meet a wide variety of well known characters including Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Chip and Dale.

Now those of you with long term memories will know that back in the day the Garden Grill restaurant actually used to serve lunch and it would seem Disney are now bringing it back along with breakfast offerings. This makes a lot of sense, not only is The Land one of the busiest areas of the park (thanks mainly to Soarin), it is also home to some of the best food in Future World thanks in part already to the Garden Grill restaurant but mainly due to the Sunshine Seasons Food Court. This area can get fairly busy, especially in the mornings first thing when everyone is rushing over to ride Soarin and then heading to grab breakfast.

While Disney haven’t revealed the full menu of what guests can expect to see when the Garden Grill opens for breakfast and lunch, they have revealed a few items for breakfast and said that the lunch menu will feature many favourites that guests love from the dinner offering.

Garden Grill Restaurant Breakfast Offering

While this is far from a complete list, Disney have stated guests can expect to see:

  • biscuits and gravy
  • bacon
  • scrambled eggs
  • Mickey waffles (a personal favourite of mine)
  • Chip’s sticky bun bake

While unconfirmed, it is fair to say this list is going to grow extensively. Chip’s sticky bun bake certainly sounds interesting!

Garden Grill Restaurant Lunch Offering

Again, this is not a complete list but confirmed offering so far:

  • “Living with the Land” Harvest-inspired Farmer’s Salad
  • all-natural turkey breast
  • char-grilled sliced beef

Those of you that have been to the Garden Grill before will know that the restaurant actually sources a lot of its food from the Living with the Land attraction. As an example, the Harvest-inspired farmer’s salad mentioned above is all put together using produce grown onsite just a few yards from where the Garden Grill restaurant is located!

When is the Garden Grill opening for breakfast and lunch?

The Garden Grill will be opening its doors for breakfast and lunch beginning November 8!

Good news, bookings are open right now and can be made in all the normal places either online here or by calling  407-WDW-DINE (0800 028 0778 for those of you in the UK).

Even better news, for those of you who usually take up the Disney Dining Plan, both breakfast and lunch will be taking part in the plan.

Let us know in the comments if you have any questions or if there is an item you really want to see on the breakfast or lunch menu!
