Anyone that has been and watched Fantasmic! will know that in order to get a good seat at the show you need to get there at least 90 minutes before the show starts. Now while I don’t mind doing this, (Fantasmic! is my favourite show at Walt Disney World) anything that can be done to reduce this wait time and make things easier I am all for!
Starting July 21 Disney will be testing FastPass+ at Fantastic in three different ways. These are:
- Seat test – July 21-22
- Row test – July 23-24
- Section test – July 27-28
On the first day of each test guests will receive a FastPass+ ticket with their section, row, or seat. On the second day, Guests will receive a FastPass+ ticket with their section, row, or seat and will also be able to view a theater map.
FastPass+ during this testing period will only be made available through the designated kiosks and will not be available through the My Disney Experience App. Guests who have already booked FastPass+ during the duration of the test simply need to enter the theater through the Tower Gate (located near the Tower of Terror gift shop).
It will be interesting to see how this test plays out, especially the one with the allocated seats as it will result in guests being able to spend more time in the park riding the attractions rather than simply sitting and waiting for the show to begin.
