Disney chairman and CEO Robert Iger has confirmed in an interview with Bloomberg that Disney are working on a fifth instalment of the Indiana Jones franchise!
While this has been rumoured for quite some time, it is encouraging to finally see someone confirm it 100% and you can’t get much more credible than Robert Iger.
With Star Wars expected to overtake Avatar this week as the biggest movie of all time you can see why Disney are keen to move on the other property that they acquired from George Lucas.
Unfortunately there has been no word on who Disney are getting to play Indy with rumours circulating on both a return from Harrison Ford and Chris Pratt taking the reigns. Disney also haven’t given an indication on when the sequel is expected to release though if Harrison Ford is returning you would think Disney would want to move relatively quickly.
So long as Disney can manage to do the same treatment to Indiana Jones as they recently did to Star Wars then I will be happy, I think we can all agree that Indiana Jones 4 doesn’t exist and is one of the worst movie sequels of all time.
What are your thoughts on another Indiana Jones sequel?
