Some of you will already know that I am a huge fan of the Writer’s Stop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and was gutted when they announced it would be closing on April 2nd of this year.
In a crazy turn of events Disney have just announced that the Writer’s Stop will in fact not be closing on April 2nd but instead will be open from April 3rd onwards with new opening times and a broader menu.

The Writer’s Stop New Menu & Opening Times
From April 3rd, The Writer’s Stop will be opening at 11:30 rather than just after the park opens and will be offering coffee, pastries, pretzels, charcuterie and a cheese plate as well as alcoholic beverages.
That last part is key for me and I think Disney has decided to serve alcoholic beverages here due to High Octane Refreshments closing and are using The Writer’s Stop as a temporary solution to the overflow that will be caused by the closure.
Backing this point up is the fact that The Writer’s Stop will remain open until 1 hour before the park closes.
While I am happy that The Writer’s Stop is not closing on the 2nd of April and is now serving alcohol, Disney haven’t said that it is a permanent reopening so I would still expect The Writer’s Stop to be closing this year with a new location to open serving alcohol.
