In a surprising announcement, yesterday Bob Iger (CEO of Disney), Bob Chapek (chairmen of Disney Parks) and Fan Xiping (Chairman of Shanghai Shendi Group) announced breaking ground on Toy Story Land for Shanghai Disneyland!
Due to open in 2018, Toy Story Land will feature three attractions (to be revealed) and various character meet and greets! This builds on the huge success of the Toy Story hotel at Shanghai Disneyland and the massive love of the Toy Story characters in China.
It is great to see such a big expansion coming to Shanghai Disneyland so soon after opening! Though I do think it a shame not to see another Pixar property given the fact we have Toy Story Land in or coming to so many other Disney Parks.
