I have always loved the Rapid Fill drinks at Walt Disney World Resorts, unlimited refills on drinks from any Disney resort is a no brainer for me! On top of this, one of the benefits of getting a Disney Dining Plan is that often they throw in the refillable mug for free!

Now if it isn’t a freebie and you are staying for a longer period of time (say 1-2 weeks) then paying the price is well worth it.

A reminder of the current pricing structure:

  • $8.99 for 1 day
  • $11.99 for 2 days
  • $14.99 for 3 days
  • $17.99 for length of stay

Some guests staying at Pop Century, All Star Resorts and Port Orleans Riverside are now reporting a price change in the system.

Disney seem to have removed the 1 day, 2 day and 3 day options and kept just the option for the entire stay at a cheaper price of $16.49. While this is fantastic news if your stay is longer than 3 days, people who aren’t staying long may feel the burn from what is effectively a price increase.

There has been no word from Disney officially to state that the price will be changing across all Walt Disney World Resorts so this could well be a trial.

On the plus side, Disney never lower the price to anything so fingers cross that this is rolled out across all resorts for the people that tend to spend longer in the parks. For guests that have shorter stays it is likely best to just buy your drinks as you go, unless you can get your money’s worth by drinking a lot in a few days!
