Disney is closing Pizza Planet at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a very long period of time beginning January 19 2016.
The quick service restaurant will be closing until November 7 2016 leading to a lot of speculation on the future of the restaurant as a whole.
I for one thought the restaurant was a huge disappointment when I dined there a couple of years ago and wouldn’t be in a rush to return, the pizza was very average.
Considering Toy Story Land is set to open on the other side of the park I wouldn’t be surprised to see the location move away from Pizza Planet onto something else, I would love a Muppets themed restaurant personally!
No matter what is happening, such a long closure for a quick service restaurant is a sign that big changes are coming so make sure that you eat there before January 19 if it is in your list of favourites!
I can’t wait to see what Disney do with this location, if it does remain as Pizza Planet lets hope for a redefined menu!
