Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe Restaurant Overview

Pecos Bill Cafe Sign

This quick service dining location is located in Frontierland right near to Country Bear Jamboree.  The restaurant is based on the fictional hero of the Old West, Pecos Bill.

The restaurant features both inside and outside seating (though the majority of seating is found on the inside of the restaurant) and if you scope to your seat early enough, you can get a great view of the parade as it passes through Frontierland.

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe Opening Times

This quick service location is usually one of the first places to open and last places to close at the Magic Kingdom and is a fantastic place to eat before the crazy rush of lunch kicks in or as last meal of the day before home.

Typically it tends to open at 10:30am and usually shuts at 11pm though stays open later depending on park hours. I have found that it tends to be quieter before 11:30 and after around 9pm.

The Pecos Bill menu is themed around a Tex Mex style offering after moving away from the burgers/wraps that it primarily offered in 2015. While in my opinion the menu is nowhere near as good as it used to be (it was previously one of the best places to grab a burger in the Magic Kingdom) this quick service is still well worth a visit.

Couple of tips, the main menu items are all good however be warned that some items may be a little spicy for the younger diners. Also, if you are on the dining plan then it is well worth grabbing the churros just because you can but I wouldn’t rush out to spend $4.99 on them, they aren’t worth the price.

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe FAQ

This section covers off some of the burning questions asked by guests wanting eat at Pecos Bill.

Is Pecos Bill on the Disney Dining Plan?

Yup – providing you want a full meal you can use one quick service entitlement to grab yourself any of the items from the entrées list along with a drink and a dessert.

What is the food at Pecos Bill like?

As mentioned earlier, the restaurant (in my opinion) went from being one of the best quick service locations at the Magic Kingdom to one that just about satisfies the need (if you like Tex Mex food). The food is great if you love that kind of food but will does not offer a great deal of choice for families.

Of course it is great that Disney are trying something different with a Tex Mex theming and I would rather they add some variation than simply serve burgers and chicken nuggets everywhere. As a result in change of theming and the fact the food could be improved, Pecos Bill has fallen a way down the list of quick service restaurants at the Magic Kingdom.
