Okay, so I know we were a bit slow on the uptake of this one but it has been a busy weekend what with new Star Wars and Pandora – The World of Avatar.
Over the weekend, Disney revealed at D23’s Destination D, a brand new design to the MagicBand which will begin by rolling out to Annual Passholders in the next few weeks.

The new design features an interchangeable puck that looks remarkably similar to the design that we leaked back in August (image below).
The puck or centre disc is designed so that it can be taken out and put into a number of other accessories such as key rings and bag clips. Those worried on the potential hazard of children choking will be relieved to find out that they can only be taken out with the help of a screwdriver.

Although the designs are slightly bulkier, they do seem to serve the need that Disney has in making sure that guests stopped getting so many MagicBands (strain on their systems), but retained the money they were making from the purchase of new designs.
