As Disney recently announced that characters from the popular Star Wars Rebels cartoon would be making it to Disney Infinity 3.0 I thought it would be fitting to summarise all characters and play sets that Disney have revealed to date that will be playable in the game. I will add to this post as and when Disney confirms additional characters so consider this a complete list!
Twilight of the Republic Play set
This is the main starter set of Disney Infinity 3.0 and comes with Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker figures for use in the game. The playset is set just after the events of Star Wars Episode II and features a reactivated Droid factory on Geonosis. It is promised that in this story players will encounter General Grevious (just so happens to be my favourite Star Wars character), Jabba the Hutt, Cad Bane, Mace Windu, Padme, Sebulba and Darth Maul. Other planets included in this story include Coruscant and Tatooine.
Rise Against the Empire
This play set is set during the events of the classic Star Wars trilogy and will be centred around Luke Skywalker and Leia. Darth Vader and Han Solo are both set to join them in this play set.
Star Wars the Force Awakens Play set
This play set will be released on December 18th 2015 and will closely follow the events of the Force Awakens movie. Finn and Rey come with the play set with Kylo Ren and Poe Dameron available separately.
Confirmed Playable Star Wars Characters
This is list of all current confirmed characters that will be available to purchase as figures for use in the game from the Star Wars play sets. It is said that at least the Star Wars Rebels characters will be unlockable across all three Star Wars play sets but it is possible this will be the case for all Star Wars figures.

With such as huge collection of possible characters to choose from in the Star Wars Saga, don’t be surprised if more are released as figures in the future.
Inside Out Play set
This play set will build upon Pixar’s latest movie, Inside Out and the premise is that Riley falls asleep watching a horror movie which leads to chaos occurring in her subconscious. The result of this causes Riley’s memories to become scattered all across Imagination Land which means that her five emotions to collect the memories and return them back to base before she wakes up.
Confirmed Playable Inside Out Characters
Fairly obvious which characters are going to be included here, the five emotions! They are:
- Joy
- Anger
- Sadness
- Disgust
- Fear
Marvel Battlegrounds Playset
In this playset Ultron teams up with Loki in order to steal Asgard’s Infinity Stone. Ultron and Loki create robot replicas of Marvel Heroes in order to distract them while they steal the stone. You will then battle these robotic villains in various locations from the MCU ending in a battle with Ultron himself!
Confirmed Additional Marvel Characters
While Disney have not confirmed whether or not the Age of Ultron will have its very own play set, they have confirmed to more Marvel figures that add to the extensive list that was released as part of Disney Infinity 2.0. These are:
- Hulkbuster Iron Man
- Ultron
- Black Suit Spider-Man
- Captain America: The First Avenger (variation of character)
- Ant-Man
- Vision
- Black Panther

This year’s Disney Infinity is set to be the best and most extensive yet and on top of all of the above playsets as well as additional figures, Disney have also announced:
