Disney has announced that beginning August 29, Saratoga Springs will see quite a big change to its resort bus service.

A dedicated bus will begin running internally, stopping at each of the seven bus stops on property and will run every 20 minutes or so. This will make it a lot easier for guests to get round one of Disney’s largest resorts.

Disney has also announced that guests will be able to get directly to Typhoon Lagoon from the Congress Park bus stop, making it easier to get to the park. Previously guests would have to get a Disney Springs bus.

The one downside to these announcements is that Disney are stopping the bus service from the resort to Disney Springs. Guests will still have the choice of taking the Sassagoula River Cruise water taxi or walking from Congress Park.

This is going to result in the boat service being a lot busier and Disney hasn’t said what they are going to do if the weather is bad, I would imagine the bus service would come back for intermittent weather.

I am not too happy with the change as we are staying at Saratoga Springs in October and what with the risk of Zika virus, walking or catching the boat significantly increases the chances of getting bitten by a mosquito!
