Tokyo Disneyland have just today announced plans for a brand new Beauty and the Beast themed area that will be opening in 2020.
This brand new area is set to open on Fantasyland and will let guests experience the world from the movie and will include Beast’s castle and the village where Belle lives. Inside Beast’s castle will be an attraction themed to Beauty and the Beast that will be unique to Japan. Also included in the village will be a shop and a themed restaurant.
Beauty and the Beast Attraction details
The ride is set to be around 8 minutes in length and will allow guests to board what look to be trackless serving dishes that dance in rhythm to the films music. You will follow Belle on a musical adventure inside the Enchanted Castle where she dances her way to the heart of the Beast in time to break the spell.
If you take a look at some of the concept art you will see why at this stage I am assuming that the attraction is going to be trackless:
