This post covers everything you need to know about the Be Our Guest restaurant including information on menus, a FAQ and more!

Be Our Guest Restaurant Overview

The Be Our Guest Restaurant opened as part of the New Fantasyland expansion in December 2013. The restaurant is based on Beast’s Castle from the 1991 Disney animated film, Beauty and the Beast and is titled after the famous ‘Be Our Guest’ song from the movie.

The castle itself is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with quick service available at breakfast and lunch and the restaurant transforming to a full table service in the evenings.

There are three dining rooms located within the castle, each with their own unique feel:

The Grand Ballroom

Be Our Guest restaurant - The Grand Ballroom

This is where Belle and the Beast danced together and is arguably the room with the best view in the entire restaurant (it is certainly my favourite of the three rooms). The large windows at the back show the French countryside outside on a winters night with a snowy backdrop to enjoy a meal over.

The Rose Gallery

This area of the restaurant features a collection of various different paintings and tapestries that show scenes from the movie as well as various characters adventures in the castle. Even if you aren’t dining in this room I would encourage walking around it as the attention to detail on the storytelling of the paintings is incredible.

The West Wing

Be Our Guest Restaurant -West Wing Dining Room

Those who know the film well will know that The West Wing is usually out of bounds and is where the enchanted rose is kept. However, The Beast has opened it up for guests to dine at and this is a fantastic room to dine in and has a few surprises in store for guests when they are eating their meals. Again, another room well worth getting up and walking around even if you aren’t dining in it.

Be Our Guest Restaurant Breakfast Menu

Be Our Guest offers an extensive breakfast menu though keep in mind that the offerings may not be for everyone and doesn’t feature the usual american style breakfast that might be expected.

All main breakfast entrees are priced at $21.99 and $13.99 for kids meals, or can be used as a quick service entitlement (alongside the beverage). Each entree comes with a selection of pastries which are all really tasty though sometimes can be a little on the stingy side when you have more than two people to a table.  I would say breakfast is well worth it on the dining plan as a credit but perhaps worth consideration if you are thinking about paying for your meal.

Be Our Guest Restaurant FAQ

This section covers off some of the burning questions asked by guests wanting to dine at the Be Our Guest Restaurant. If you have any further questions feel free to leave a comment below or hit us up on Facebook!

Is the experience the same across breakfast, lunch and Dinner?

As mentioned, breakfast and lunch are both quick service whereas dinner is a full table service meal. Speaking from experience, I would always say that to experience the restaurant in full it is best to go for dinner first and then try breakfast or lunch afterwards. This question is one I have seen asked many times before but one I have been asked myself by my own parents ahead of our trip to celebrate their 50th birthdays in October this year.

The reason to go to dinner first, the restaurant really lights up at night on the outside and the experience is just much more magical when dining over a full meal. Everything from the way you are led into the restaurant by Lumiere to the dessert cart that is wheeled up to your table really adds to the experience.

An evening meal also has the added benefit of being able to meet the master of the castle himself, Beast.

Do I have to meet The Beast after my meal?

Meeting the master of the castle is completely optional and you are free to decline, you don’t even have to head to his room if you don’t want to get a picture, simply walk out through the main doors that you entered in.

Do I really have to book my meal in advance?

Yes, 1000 times yes. Not booking your meal in advance will lead to disappointment, even in Walt Disney World’s less crowded times. Even at breakfast and lunch where the restaurant is quick service I would advise booking in advance as I always witness queues of guests wanting to try and get a table without a reservation being turned away.

An evening meal will need to be booked weeks in advance, sometimes months in order to secure a table. I would advise taking advantage of the Disney World app and booking way in advance. If you are staying on property remember you can book 6 months in advance. I have seen tables snapped up this far in advance so be sure to book sooner rather than later.

There is always the off chance that other guests cancel and you are able to secure a table when you are on vacation but again just ensure you are keeping an eye on the app as others will be and will snap a table up way before you make it to the restaurant to enquire.

Is there a dress code?

Nope, despite the interior of the restaurant and the menu there is no specific dress code. Feel free to rock up in a t-shirt and shorts if thats what you are most comfortable in.

Am I free to walk around the restaurant?

Absolutely, it is encouraged! There is a lot to see in the restaurant and Disney have put in a lot of work into each of the three dining rooms. Each room is worth exploring and brings something else to the story of the castle as well as the relationship between Beast, Belle and the staff of the castle.

Is this restaurant on the Disney Dining Plan?

Yup, breakfast and lunch are counted as 1 quick service entitlement and dinner is counted as 1 table service entitlement.

How is the food?

I haven’t tried every item on the menu yet but I have had my fair share and can honestly say the food is excellent. It is well worth the credits if you are on the Disney Dining Plan and worth the cost if you aren’t!
